We see no Kolour! - Having grandparents and parents that grew up in the Civil Rights era meant that they endured a lot of segregation and racism. As a child I would sit and watch movies that showed a lot about segregation. The word “Colored” was always used as a way to identify African Americans. The word was used as a negative during the Civil Rights Era.   As an African American, LGBT woman I came up with an idea to use the word for good.
