My parents won't let me get a job or go to my dream university. I need money to get out of here. - My parents are very authoritarian, meaning they demand a lot from me but neglect my personal needs. It's gotten really bad to the point where my doctor has diagnosed me with severe depression and I'm stuck being unable to even go to a therapist. I know families follow certain cultures, but my parents have really taken it too far ever since I turned 17 and completely find it unnecessary to look after my mental health.
