Support an independent short film about a boy from Brighton Beach who goes looking for his father. - Story"Runaway" is a short fiction film that tells the story of a teenager and his estranged father. It is set in the present day, in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, a Jewish and Eastern European immigrant neighborhood where my family has roots. My idea for the film emerged from a deep interest in relationships between fathers and sons—in the wisdom that's shared, and in the secrets that are kept across generations.
