A young British boy is washed ashore on the coast of Durban during the 1800's. - Oscar's Island: Short Film I am creating a short film titled Oscar's Island. Oscar's Island is about a young boy washed up on the shores of Durban in 1820 during the British Colonisation in South Africa. Oscar aged 9, and his father Walter aged 32, were sailing down the coast of Africa and their boat got destroyed on impact near the Durban Bay. Oscar washed ashore, while his father floated away. Oscar waits on the shore for his father, but it's been 7 years since he
