The anxiety of a woman's unplanned pregnancy leads her into a dark and dangerous transformation. - My name is Nichole Carlson. I’ve been a San Francisco Bay Area filmmaker since the mid-2000’s, but even more importantly a mother since 2003, which tends to dominate my storytelling almost as much as my life. My first pregnancy inspired me to write Maternally Damned, a horror short about a woman whose unplanned pregnancy forces her to confront her childhood trauma of witnessing her mother’s death during the birth of her sister.
