I began to think a lot about Papakura and what it was like for me growing up there, and I realised that I had a story that could be told through song. Each song is based upon my memories around locations within the district. Most of the songs reflect important moments of my life that moulded who I am today.After writing the songs, working and saving enough money I had the amazing opportunity to record the album on the legendary Neve desk (Once owned by The Who!) in Studio A at Neil
