Each song is a representation of my experiences growing up in Papakura, South Auckland. - Many of you, my friends and family might remember when I started talking about the concept for this debut album Red Earth around two years ago. The idea began when I learned that the name of my home town, Papakura could be loosely translated from Maori to mean Red Earth, because of its red clay foundation.
