We will purchase 30 hectares of Mindanao rainforest land for preservation by indigenous peoples. - The World Rainforest Fund (worldrainforest.org) is raising money to save a beautiful rainforest on the island of Mindanao in the Philippine Islands. The owner of this forest is poor and needs to support his family. He will sell it to the indigenous people who will preserve it if we can raise the $20,000.00 needed to purchase it from him. If we cannot come up with the money, he will sell it to a developer, who will cut it down and destroy for a quick profit.We need $20,000.00 to buy and save this
