After a long, lonely summer, Waldo Jefferson devises a plan to visit surprise his college lover - The Gift is a Dark Comedy set in the 70’s about Waldo, an anxious and insecure college student, home during summer break. He is tormented by nightmares of his lover Marsha cheating on him over the summer. Desperate,  he devices a plan to mail himself across the country to visit and surprise her. In a switch of perspective, we move to Marsha, waking up after a night out, hanging out with a friend in the morning. Suddenly, a package arrives and Marsha must decide what to do with Waldo once
