StartEngine was founded in 2012 as an incubator with a mission: turn Los Angeles into a top tech center by nurturing the talents and ideas of young entrepreneurs, and building a positive community for them to start and grow their businesses. When the possibility of equity crowdfunding appeared on the horizon, it offered a way to affect positive change on a much larger scale. In 2014, StartEngine Crowdfunding was created, dedicated to helping entrepreneurs across the United States and Canada achieve their dreams and secure the futures of their business. On June 19th, 2015, the rules for Title IV of the JOBS Act, also known as Regulation A+, came into effect. These new regulations established a brand new industry, and a new opportunity for millions of entrepreneurs and investors across The United States and Canada.
