Most of them are made from Non-Woven Polypropylene = Plastic!We need more 100% cotton reusable bags and I want to share what I use everyday for shopping. I grew up in Okinawa and the neighbor ladies showed us how to make a couple of bags, one from a large square piece of fabric (Furoshiki).I've added a twist and designed and created a strap to use with the bags.
