Raising money for a CD of instrumental acoustic swing jazz standards from the Django repertoire. - My name is Phil Lawrence and I've been a professional musician since 1975. I started playing mandolin in 1978. In 1980 I recorded my first project which at that time was released as a cassette. Since then I have produced or participated in over twenty recording projects with my own bands or with others. I've had the honor of performing and recording with some of the best musicians in the San Francisco area, including David Grisman (The Grateful Dead, Garcia /Grisman, The David Grisman Quintet)
