I will be reviving an old Play By Mail game that I used to run as a teenager and in my early twenties called The Isles - a fantasy RPG - When I was a teenager, about 16 or 17 I started to run a small Play By Mail game called The Isles - Inspired by playing through the postal system a myriad of turn-based, paper printed war- and roleplaying games I decided to try my hand at running my own.The Isles ran for three to four years and in its heyday had between 250 and 300 players - but financial pressures and what was then quite a bad financial depression in the UK made it less and less easy to run the game and eventually I had to close it in the face of players turning to new PC-based RPGs.Now almost 30 years older, I'm financially secure, married and looking to see if there are still players eager to play the old fashioned way, with printed turnsheets and results and weekly turnaround .. but now with a modern twist including
