Activist Theology is a book project combining the poetry of Black Liberationist Organizer, Ree_Belle, & critical Liberation Theology. - monograph was contracted with Augsburg / Fortress Press, and I've been busy working the past year on the book! Because most of my work is spent translating theory to action, I found it important to include original poetry in this book to make for the intersection of different strands of theory, a unique collaboration between poet-organizer Ree_Belle, a St. Louis based activist and recent seminary graduate. This Kickstarter is designed to support the original poetry and book cover artwork that will be commissioned in this book!The manuscript is due December 1, 2017, and I plan to have a draft of the manuscript ready to turn in on the due date, but I need the community to support the original art and editing that are a part of this project.
