Inexperienced San Diego native, Nick, goes on a search for the ultimate gift to impress his crush. In mass media narratives focusing on Black stories are rare, and Black love stories are often even rarer. When Black narratives do exist their stories are often oversimplified and one-dimensional, misrepresenting Black experiences, or worse, perpetuating harmful stereotypes about the Black community. Our film, Flowers, is meant to combat this, be a part of our movement.
