The project will integrate both Western and Noongar science's to showcase bush food plants in WA's Wheat belt. - "Noongar Bush foods of Western Australia's Wheatbelt" hopes to combine both Traditional Ecological Noongar Knowledge with Western ecological Knowledge to showcase bush food plants that where Traditionally used by the Ballardong Noongar people in Wheatbelt.The Book will include a list of 30 plant species native to WA's wheatbelt which will incorporate Noongar language, Botanical descriptions, Traditional Noongar use, Traditional Ecological Knowledge and Noongar artwork.The ...

Read More Book also hopes to pay tribute to local Ballardong Noongar Elder and the Authors grandfather Kevan Davis who passed away late last year, Kevan had an intimate knowledge of Noongar Boodja (Country) and the working's of the bush that was passed on to the Author.
