An ancient tale about a statue that turns to life in Renaissance Italy. - 'Marmo' tells the story of how the stone on which Italy was founded turned to flesh. In a hollowed castle atop the hills of the Emilia-Romagna province, a Renaissance artist sculpts a marble statue; She chisels it with such perfect detail that it springs to life. - Inspired by the myths and folklore of Northern Italy.This project is the fruit of an international collaboration between local Italian filmmakers and art students, and an Ecuadorian-American director (myself!). Over t
