The pedicab is outfitted with a 750W electric assist motor that provides electric assist to the pedal-driver and is powered by a 48V lithium ion battery. The goals will be to optimize recharge power while keeping weight to a minimum and focus on durability, practicality, and reasonable cost. Our intention is to open source the final design so that other e-pedicab drivers can retrofit and use solar energy recharge.
