Traditional games publishers have seen their role change dramatically, and have grown hesitant (if not outright reluctant) about investing in new game ideas let alone potential franchises. Indeed when they do, it’s hard to get a really fair deal. Most banks and private investors do not fully understand the video games industry or the business side of new game-concepts and all that happens is that talented games developers are left empty handed and frustrated

Clearly there is need for a completely new and alternative structure to secure funding for game development projects.

Gambitious allows games studios from all over the world to register their projects for review by our team of game and crowdfunding experts: we will accept only those projects which present a strong fit with our platform, a viable business plan, and of course, a great game. Studios may choose whether they want to raise capital via the Rewards model, the Revenue Share model (Sept/Oct 2013) or.. both! The Hybrid model (Oct 2013) enables you to raise funding through rewards and revenue sharing combined.
